We operate within Australia’s world-leading ‘cap and trade’ water governance framework. We provide a range of forward contracts and entitlement leases that allow irrigation farmers to better manage their future water supply risk. Over time, scarce water is priced appropriately supporting the productive and sustainable use of this limited resource.

Backing Regional Growth

Our investments provide much-needed capital and long-term water access to irrigators across the Murray-Darling Basin. We work directly with farmers and do not transact with parties that have breached water regulations, ensuring we uphold the integrity of the market and support healthy rural economies.

Argyle has played a leading role in shaping responsible water markets since 2007. We support the goals of the National Water Initiative, the Basin Plan, and the recommendations of the ACCC’s inquiry into the water market. We are proud members of the National Irrigators Council and engage with regulators, government and regional communities to support long-term outcomes.
